Biography Danny Davis, known
as “Double D” began his musical career at age five when he made his first
appearance on the Grand Ole Opry alongside Billy Grammer. His love of
music continued to grow throughout his life while working at Loretta
Lynn’s Dude Ranch and at Natural Bridge Park. Danny is a very talented
and professional musician, playing behind various artists such as Ray
Price, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Randy Travis, Vince
Gill, and many more. He has worked with the Grand Ole Opry Stage Band
with Skeeter Davis, Justin Tubb, and Jean Shepard. Danny appears
regularly on the Opry with Jeannie Seely and Country Music Hall of Fame
Member Porter Waggoner. Danny’s new album brings a new sound to
Traditional Country Music. Oklahoma talent is showcased in Danny’s 10-song album. Noted songwriters from Oklahoma include Gene Crysler, Sherman Crysler, Walt Wilder, Ray Rector, Joe Ivie, Cliff Blunt, and Donnie East. Billy Robins from Tennessee also contributed his song writing ability. Danny’s producer, Walt Wilder, President of CMM® Records, encourages young talent and is always in search of songwriters for future recordings. He is a member of CMA, Country Music Singers Association, and is known on the Nashville scene.
Danny’s father, Ralph Davis, recently retired as the official rhythm guitar player with the Grand Ole Opry stage band, is a long-time friend of Walt Wilder. Danny’s new 10-song album, which was recorded at Hilltop Recording Studio in Nashville, TN and was mastered and pressed at Spectrum in Norman, OK.
