Career Musician's Music Online
CMM Record label was developed by Walt Wilder, Loretta Lynn, and Meredith Stewart in Loretta's office in Nashville, TN. Meredith Stewart was Loretta's secretary at the time and we will always remember that Loretta and Meredith helped get the label started. CMM's very first record was "Drinking Beer, Chasing Women, and Dodging Wives", written by Gene Chrysler, recorded by Walt Wilder, and published by Loretta's company "Coal Miner Music".
Judson Brodersen has since designed the current label to depict Traditional
Country Music. Walt runs a music publishing company known as TalogaLeedy, co-owned
with Joy Harris. The company's name was derived from the names of their home towns; Taloga and Leedy, in Dewey County, Oklahoma.
